Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful antique doll. Such antique porcelain dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
Your doll was made around 1880-1900. It was probably made in Germany, but without any marks on the back of the head the origin is hard to tell. This was the preferred type of doll at that time. The head and lower arms are made of porcelain, the body is made of fine leather and stuffed with sawdust. When pricing items like this the condition of the head is very important - any hairlines, cracks or chips deducts the value of the doll. The clothes appears to be original which will add to the sales value.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the antique doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
