Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful antique doll. Such antique toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The doll was made in Germany in the early 1900s, the head is made of porcelain, the body and limbs of papermache and a kind of composition. It is very important that the head is without hairlines, chips or cracks in order to obtain the best price. The manufacturer WC is not one of the most wellknown manufacturers and I have not been able to find the name of the dolls factory. The most expensive dolls are character dolls from makers like German Kammer & Reinhardt and JDK. Kestner and the French Jumeau however these dolls are very rare.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
