An underground comic by Tradition na Robbin’s first print women’s liberation comic
8x10
Hi Amanda,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
"It Ain't Me Babe" holds significant historical and cultural value—it was the first all-women’s underground comic. It was edited by Trina Robbins (who was a prime contributor and key figure in the underground and feminist comics) and published in 1970, at the height of the second-wave feminist movement, by leading underground comic publisher, Last Gasp.
The comic tackled issues like gender roles, liberation, and women's rights through satire and storytelling. The cover features iconic female characters (Wonder Woman, Olive Oyl, Little Lulu, etc.) reimagined as powerful, militant figures of liberation.
Biblioctopus had this - and "All Girl Thrills" - for sale together with an asking retail price of $350 (it's no longer in stock). An appropriate FAIR MARKET value for just "It Aint Me Babe" is $150-250.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
