handed down in my family. My mom got it from her great aunt and she gave it to me. As far as I know it has always been in the family.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an Art Deco era 1920s dining room set, consisting of a hutch / cabinet / vitrine, extendable dining room table and chairs, manufactured by Reitzel Limited. Eugene and Frank Reitzel manufactured furniture from 1913-1941 on the site of the Bechtel Brickyard on Allen Street West, Waterloo, Ontario. The dinining room furniture set in your possession is quite typical for the period, the thin veneer, the sprayed varnish etc. The estimate is based on similar sets by lesser known manufacturers sold at auctions. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
I would strictly sell it locally. Buyers usually have a fixed price in mind and therefore shipping costs would be up to you.
Thank you... will do.
Keep Shining
Thank you for the information... if we try to sell through your site,,, does the buyer cover shipping costs? Seems like it would be very expensive to ship
