28 x 40 box of posters loose and near perfect condition. These are commemorative posters that my suspicion leads me to believe that they were error or misprint posters. There are graphics on the right side edge and Hanna Barbara liscencing print twice through the image itself. The larger print for liscencing is cut off at the bottom. I would like the appraisal to be for only one print. The signature is a facsimile.
An entire Box acquired from an estate sale in Shell Beach,CA. Please give estimate for one print only.
Dear Kirby,
Greetings and thank you for calling upon the experts at Mearto. This is a striking image by Robert de Michiell which, as you know commemorates the 35th anniversary of the Flintstones in 1995. It's a fabulous image, a little mod, surrealist and Picasso-esque.
Considering where the publishing info is, I would have to agree with your hypothesis that you have a run of miss-prints on your hands. It's unfortunate that the text runs through a rather key part of the image, this could affect the value at auction but is a rather subjective factor which will depend upon the individual bidder.
Regarding value, because it is a work designed by de Michiell which is in a rather hip and current style I do think it has decorative desirability. A similar de Michiell sold at auction for $30USD, yours may not find that price because of the miss-print, thus, I'd place each leaf at between $15USD and $25USD at auction.
Most Sincerely,
Erin-Marie
You are quite welcome.
Sincerely,
Erin-Marie
Nicely done, thank you..
