Not sure of anything (type of wood etc.) Except it's supposedly been in my family for a few hundred years and it has green velvet upholstery. It belonged to my great grandmother who was born in 1901 and lived in Long Island, New York for most of her life.

A French Empire style maple or mahogany rocking armchair
late 19th/early 20th Century
With over-the crest upholstered green velvet back, scrolling back and arms partially upholstered with green velvet and brass tack upholstery with swan arm supports, the sprung seat on shaped rails and legs; all on rockers.
