I Have a vintage Route 66 sign that is from the state of Arizona showing initials in the lower left corner AHD (Arizona Highway Department). It appears to be made of 3/8” thickness plywood with what seems a vinyl decal that would have been used in the past. While viewing the AHD emblem in the lower left corner you will notice a section that has an erection date. Unfortunately, even with a magnifying glass this date cannot be made out. The height of the sign measures out at 23 ¾” and the width being 24”. Condition is shown in photos with some peeling of the vinyl in areas.

This is a vintage, mid 20th century, about 1950s - 1960's American Route 66 sign on wood that was erected by the Arizona Highway Department. These are quite collectible and there is a nostalgia for this popular highway route in the United States. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
