120.5” x 120.5” maroon, tan, blue - multi color. Hand woven. Iranian. 3” fringe, some soiling on the fringe.
Estate item.
Dear Laurie,
This is an Iranian, hand-knotted, wool rug / carpet. It’s quite a generous size and a pleasing pattern, however, the soiling will affect the value. Currently, similar room size carpets in slightly better condition than this example (although it is lovely) are selling at auction for an average of $1000USD, although $2000USD for pristine, well woven examples is not uncommon. Depending upon the extent of soiling you could expect a reduction of as much as 50% of the average price.
Let me know if you have any additional questions and thank you for your submission to Mearto.
Cheers,
Erin-Marie
