Genuine porcelain; 17 inches tall; 6 inches wide; dressed in velveteen; includes display stand
I received the doll as a gift from my grandmother when I was a young child. The doll has only been removed from the box to check for markings.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful doll. Such vintage dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The doll is what you would call a replica doll made in the late 1900s or early 2000s to resemble an antique doll. There were made quite a number of these replica dolls and they were very popular at one stage. However today despite that they are collectors items there are still so many of these dolls around so the prices haven't increased quite as much as some people might have hoped for. The manufacturer was probably american.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
