Wood and wood veneer Secretary with original old glass doors, drop down desk, and four drawers. Wood unknown. Wood used for backs & side of drawers possibly poplar, maybe hickory. Measures: 44” wide, 78” tall, 19” depth, upper bookcase 10” depth.
It was left in a house purchased from the heirs of a deceased couple. We bought it from Facebook marketplace from the new owners of the house.

Possibly Southern, early 19th Century
In two sections, the upper section with outstepped molded corner over two glazed cabinet doors opening to a shelved interior, the lower section with a hinged lid opening to a baize-lined writing surface, over two short over two long drawers, all on bracket feet. Secondary woods possibly yellow pine and poplar.
78 inches tall, 44 inches wide, depth of upper section 10 inches, depth of lower section 19 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age and use.
