Solid silver
Grandmother
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a french late 19th century silverplated cast brass candlestick, formerly used in a church on the altar. The tripod base shows three reliefs, depicting Jesus, the holy spirit and St. Peter. Due to the closing of many rural churches, similar has come on the market and meets less demand. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.

Hi Michael, thank you for the additonal photos. If there are no hallmarks (at the underside perhaps?) it will most likely be brass or bronze with a thick silver overlay.
Thanks Klaus no markings underneath so i assume minimal value ?
Hi Klaus I cheched the item all over, I cant seem to locate any marks or hallmarks, all I know is it was purchased around the 1960s in a French antique market. I was not able to recognise the face on the symbols but I will add some more images now.
