This sketch was found behind another framed picture. My mom was having it reframed and it was discovered. So she has it framed as well by Vlado and Renata BELICA. It was a gift to my mom. I’ve provided a picture of the original picture it was behind.

Paul Ashbrook (1867 – 1949), originally Paul von Eschenbach, was an American painter, illustrator, etcher, lithographer, and teacher. He studied at the Art Students League beginning around 1885 under William Merritt Chase, and also worked as an illustrator (for Charles Klackner) in the 10th Street Studio Building. His lithographs are charming genre portraits of everyday people and usually sell at auction for between $100 and $200.
