What does this mean?

Dear Marvia,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and a Happy New Year 2021.

The presented object appears to be a Smith & Wesson 32 Cal. revolver with mother of pearl grips. This piece was made in the late 19th century and the original finish is sadly in a bad rubbed off condition.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 150 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
Georg
