Spons Engineers Tables
This tiny book is for Tables and Memoranda for Engineers. There is a date at the beginning of 1884. At the very back it has an address of E.&F.N.Spon,16 Charing Cross, New York: 35Murray Street. It contains weights for all kinds of materials, Example =hemp, railway curves rotten stone, snow, Yorkshire paving and plenty more.
My husband and I used to go to auction sales and this tiny little was in the bottom of a box of books. We cant remember how much we payed for the whole box. This was back in the mid 80's.

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a small compilation of technical details and tables which would be usefull to an engineer to carry with him at all times. The small booklet is bound in embossed maroquin leather ( also known as Morocco leather, French Maroquin, or German Saffian ) with gilt lettering. No identical miniature book has been offered in the recent past, but similar compilations published by E. & F.N. Spon are available in the trade. The estimate is based on similar books of the same period. A serious miniature book collector and engineer might be willing to pay more than the high estimate.
