Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a metal clad steamer trunk of the 1860s or 1870s. The trunk shows the typical construction and enforcement that were necessary during sea travel. A very nice detail is the lithoraph on the inside lid, depicting the head of a young woman, titled "Western Beauty" (?). There is no indication on which company the manufacturer was. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
