Looks old Buddha head H4.5” W 3”
Found on estate sale in box
Dear Vlad,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the apprisal.
The presented object appears to be a small-sized fragment of a stone figurine made from limestone with the measurements of 5.5 inches x 3 inches. This fragment depicting a crowned male head in the tradition of the Chinese art. It could be identified as a Guanyin or as a Buddha's head. The surface of the sculpture and details of the way how they are cut out of the stone is a hint that this is a modern sculpture.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 20 to 50 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
