Dear Steve,
Thank you, I've received the images of your piece, this is an early 20th century Indian Gurkha Kurki dagger made for the British-Indian Army. These have an amazing history and were used for close combat, they are seriously tough, no-nonsense weapons!
I can't tell from your photos but many of these daggers also had two small knives which fit into the sheath. I am assuming yours did not have these.
Similar examples of these weapons are offered and sold at auction and usually average between $50UUD and $80USD. If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know and thank you for submitting to Mearto.
Kindest Regards,
Erin-Marie
