Good afternoon, Valerie,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please upload a few better images, perhaps with a flash so I can see the detailing of the figure? Are there any marks on the base? Also, perhaps a few close-up shots that show her face?
Thanks!
Delia
I checked under the bottom of the lamp. There may have been a cloth bottom with a clue but it had been removed I can tell. But I don't see a name. She's beautiful I can't stop adoring her. That's why I believe she's worth some money. Adorable lamp.
Is this wooden or metal? The colors are pretty amazing...
Hello. I sent a picture of the bottom it shows what she's made of. Thank you.
Thanks very much, Valerie,
The picture is extremely helpful - this is made of a 20th Century plaster composition that would have been poured into a mold and painted once dried. The detailing on the figure suggests to me that it was stylized and made for export (in other words, made for foreigners). On the market, I don't think this would bring very much money but, of course, it is priceless to you because you like it so much.
If you decide to auction it, based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Southeast Asian Export style polychromed composition figural table lamp
mid-late 20th Century
39 inches tall
$75-100*

Thank you very much.
Ok yes I will
