Ceramic 17height 24wide
Salvation Army
Dear Mary,
Thank you for your request. This is an urn probably made out of cast gypsum. Its height is 24 inches. The vessel itself is painted in different colors. It imitates a Wedgewood vase or urn. Wedgewood is a British company which produced neo-classical porcelain objects. Especially the three-dimensional figurines where a specialty of Wedgewood. In this case, it depicts a cavalcade of bacchantes. This object is probably made in the 20th century.
An estimation would be between 10 and 20 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Also it was price at $16.00 at salvation so I know it is worth then $10.00 dollars .
Dear Mary,
Sadly this is a mass-produced object and it is not very antique. Antique is a very flexible term. The estimation is a price range and there are too many objects like this on the market. If for example at an auction two people bid against each other it could even get higher. When nobody is interested it remains unsold or gets sold lower the 10 USD. I am sorry for this informations but this is the actual market situation.
With best regards,
Georg
Why vaule so low it is antique .
