It is a sideboard with a hinged cabinet on each end where the doors open downward. It has two sliding doors where the doors "roll around to the sides" to open. It has three drawers, the top one of which has a tray inside which slides back for storage beneath it. It is teak, 18 inches wide, 49 inches in height, 79 inches in length. The only markings I can see on the back say "UM 18". My parents bought it in Denmark I think in the 1960s. I know it was made in Denmark.
My parents bought it in the 1960s in Denmark and had it shipped to the United States. They were the only owners. I inherited it.
This is a fine, original, Mid-Century Modern Danish-designed teak sideboard or crednza that was produced by the firm of Uldum Møbelfabrik Furniture from Denmark. The front sliding doors are done in a flat-panel tambour, which is quite desirable in design and also a sign of master craftsmanship. The furniture piece itself was likely designed by Johannes Andersen. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
I added another photo. This is the only label I can find.
Excellent, thank you for the image.
Please re-check inside of all the drawers and cupboards for any labels, marks or tags.
