Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a chinese lacquer pillow of the late Qing Dynasty, decorated with poenix and a buddhist treasure. There is no indication that this modest pillow once was used in the forbidden city. Without any proof in writing or provenance and pedigree the estimate is as listed above. The estimate is based on similar items actually sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be much higher and vary.
