This work is an early 1963 original mixed media on pasted French newspapers by Roger Etienne. His Iconic use of pasting french newspapers that become part of the painting surface is executed no better than this work presented here. This example if very rare not often found in the US. My cousin was a motion picture producer in Hollywood, California in the 1950-1960 period. Roger Etienne appeared in several well known movies during that time and painted this work of art in early 1963. He gave it to my cousin who gave it to me. Etienne, was born Roger Etienne Everaert. He signed his works he painted in the US under the name of "Etienne" and used his birth name " Everaert" when he painted in Europe. He often included the word " Paris" in his US creations. His works are in many museums.
