What does this mean?

Hello Scott,

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. I apologize for the delay in your appraisal and thank you for your patience. The item presented appears to be a photomechanical print after a 1911 oil painting by American artist Thomas Moran (1837 - 1926) known as "Morning, Grand Canyon." Moran was an established Hudson River School painter who is best known for his depictions of the Rocky Mountains. Along with a few others, he is known as a Rocky Mountain School painter. Many of his works are held in the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this work as a reproduction print after the painting and other comparable photomechanical prints after Moran. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
