A Hand Knotted Turkish Silk Hereke Rug. The piece dates back to the period from 1980 to 1990. The piece has a very rare elaborate floral and geometrical (mostly square) pattern with two vases or central medallion.

The piece is knotted silk on silk. The knot density of the piece is very high and therefore the motifs were rendered clearly. The piece is in good condition without visible problems.

Heavily decorated by traditional Hereke patterns.
