What does this mean?

Hello Rick,

I'm very happy that you have chosen Mearto with your online appraisal.

Based on the images, this is:

An ancient Chinese, perhaps based on techniques Ming and Qing dynasties, soft blue peonies move elegantly around this stunning temple jar. Crafted from porcelain, the design features a smattering of proud lions, giving your décor a touch of exotic appearance.

The earliest ginger jars as we know them date from the Ming period (1368-1644), and they were made for exporting salt, spices, oil, and so on, to the West.

Retail prices may vary. Prices are for each.
