My Grandmothers
This is an antique, 19th century, Victorian era, molded salt-glazed and cobalt stoneware vase that is referred to as an "Old Sleepy Eye" vase. These vases feature the head of an Native American Indian on one side, with the name Old Sleepy Eye beneath it and a dragonfly among cattails on the other side. These were generally produced by Weir Potery. These were given as premiums from Sleepy Eye Milling Company when purchasing a 100lb sack of flour. Unfortunately, yours shows a large and significant crack on the it which does impact value to the point of diminishing any sale value. In good condition, these can sell for over $200 occasionally. However with the damage, there is no longer a sale value.
