Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a sweet doll. Such antique dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The doll was made by the German doll manufacturer F&W Goebel in the beginning of the 1900s. The head is made of bisque and the body is made of papermache and composition. The heads condition is the main thing when appraising a doll, it must be without chips, hairlines or cracks in order to get the high prices.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online antique dolls and toys auction, where I believe the Goebel doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
