60cm high 60cm length 30cm wide Made of wood with metal wheels and lined with fabric, (silk and velvet?) It has some woodworm and a hole in the bottom of one compartment.
It belonged to my grandmother who lived in Guernsey, Channel Islands. She died 1949.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a 1920s sewing box, made from oak and plywood, the ornaments possibly punched into the surface. An already mass produced piece of furniture. The woodworm infestation is serious and adversely affects the value. I assume the sentimental for you is very high. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it. The estimate is based on recent auction results for similar sewing boxes.
