This has been in the family that I know of 50 plus years. It is believed to have belonged to the Cheeney family of Manchester Ct. The Cheeneys own and operated woven mills in Manchester in the 1800s rather it was made by them or a family member is unknown. My wife's Great Grandmother worked for one of the Cheeneys as domestic help it was given to her by the family she worked for. The Tapestry is very detailed in the material used. and in pretty good condition.

The Tapestry was owned by the Cheeney Family of Manchester Connecticut. My wife's Great Grandmother worked for one of the Cheeney Family and this was given to her by the family member at some point in her years of working for the family.
