THESE ARE FROM AN ESTATE SALE. THERE ARE 6 BUNCHES AND ARE ABOUT 8 INCHES LONG. THEY ARE IN MULTIPLE COLORS AND ARE WIRED TOGETHER WITH GLASS LEAVES AT END. I WAS TOLD THEY MIGHT BE OLD MURANO GLASS BUT NOT SURE.
LADY WHO HAS PASSED AWAY.
Hi Toni,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Antique and vintage Murano glass pieces DO carry a bit of a premium as long as the form is particularly complex and/or rare, the pieces are signed (and verified to Murano) and the condition is good. This group of glass grapes doesn't have any of that going for it, though these are fun and there is always a market for decorative glass and stone fruit.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An assorted group of 8 bunches of colored glass grapes
possibly Murano, mid 20th Century
In green, blue, orange, yellow and brown, each with glass-leaf ends and linked with wire loops. Minor separations and breaks
PROVENANCE: purchased at auction/estate sale
$100-150*
