Hello, I have two antique firearms that would require appraisal
12 -14 inches long
The items were given to me by my father, I am not sure how he attained them
Dear John,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a Middle-Eastern or North African flintlock pistol. The pistol is rich and decorated with bone inlay and carved and colored geometrical decor. It was probably made in the 19th century.
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 450 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Gregory
