I inherited this sculpture from my dad , who passed away in November 2022. He lived in Nigeria in the late 1960s. He bought many African pieces, and I believe this is from Africa but am not sure.

A antique West African hardwood figural carving
possibly Yoruba culture, early 20th Century
In the form of two kneeling figures, one on top of the other, the uppermost with a tall conical headdress, on a cylindrical plinth base. Unmarked.
30 inches high
CONDITION: this sculpture appears to be in good condition with age commensurate to wear and age.
PROVENANCE: inherited
