Large tapestry by Philippine artist Anita Magsaysay Ho from 1977. 38" wide by 74" high. Excellent condition.
Owned by grandmother (deceased), passed on to sister in 2002. Never exhibited, hung in our houses where we grew up. Sister now has it hanging in her living room.

The presented object appears to be embroidery or tapestry with measurements of 74 x 38 inches. This artwork depicts women with baskets and appears to be signed and dated by the Philippine artist Anita MAGSAYSAY-HO (1914-2012). A very similar tapestry with nearly the same measurements but a blue background fabric was two times offered in an auction in the years 2019 and 2018. The piece offered 2018 was hammered down for 6857,- USD.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
