What does this mean?

Hi John,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I can see the K&R mark easily enough but the photo of the mark is rather blurry.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

An antique or vintage Kammer & Reinhardt porcelain character girl doll
made in Germany, late 19th/early 20th Century
With blond hair and blue eyes (sleeping?), bisque porcelain and body, wearing a pink colored lace and ribbon dress and bonnet. Marked indistinctly to the back of the head.
24 inches long
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited
$1,000-1,500*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.

would like to consign for sale

Delia Nov 12, 17:49 UTC

Hi John,
Mearto doesn't take items on consignment but you are welcome to use our online marketplace to help find a buyer. If you've marked this as "for sale" with a "public" status, it is already on our marketplace and interested buyers can reach out to you directly.
If you don't know how to change the status, let me know and I'll ask our client services dept to do that for you (I can't do it on my end).
Thanks,
Delia

This doll is now listed on the marketplace.

Delia,

I notice the dolls are the only ones on the marketplace without pricing? Please advise. I would price them according to your appraisal/advice,

Thank you

Delia Nov 28, 01:19 UTC

Looks like this wasn't properly updated; once things are listed as "for sale," the insurance value - an automatically generated field - becomes blank and I receive a notification to update the field as an "asking price (in the case of this doll, the asking price would be $1,800; the other "antique male doll" would have an asking price of $700. I'll ask our customer service dept to take a look at this and the other doll. Thanks for letting me know, and I apologize that this is taking so long to properly list on the marketplace.
