It is an 18 inch doll with hair that is attached to the head by some sort of foam insert. Very thin eyebrows. Eyelids that move. Pilgrim style outfit with black soft pleather boots. Legs and arms and hands are porcelain. I can’t find any markings. Orange/reddish lips and eyelids

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a cute doll. However after having examined the photos very carefully we have come to the conclusion that it is not an antique porcelain doll. The way the dolls face is modelled and the colours of the paint in the face are not the way antique dolls were made and painted. It is too colourful and bright. The material used for the body, the hair and the clothes are also new and in a new style compared to how the antique dolls bodies, wigs and clothes were made.
During the late 1900s there were made several artist dolls by various dollmakers. These dolls were made for collectors of newer dolls in the old fashion however they are not yet collectors items with regards to high prices and values.
The sentimental value it represents to you will be much higher than the market value.
I am very sorry for the unfortunate news.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
