This beautiful antique grain gathering/market basket is woven with willow or reed in a classic Chinese style and technique. Looks quite old. Gorgeous patina of age. Asymmetrical iron detail on handle adds interest. Appears to have been reinforced with a filler between the body and the rim of the basket as shown. Depth in dimensions includes handle, actual basket portion is roughly 7-8" deep.
23" L x 13" W x 14" D
Clearly has a story, but I don't know it! Purchased on Facebook Marketplace in Nashville, TN with very limited interaction with the seller.
