approximately 14 inches high amber glass and perhaps gold plated decanter with a metal laurel stopper and a beautiful scrolled handlewith a flower on the end and a lions head portudes from the top of the handle. it has a leaf motif around the collar andi am unable to identify a clear hallmark as there is so much writing and letters and numbers all over it which cannot be seen with the naked eye , the letters jp and ty appear all over it and I believe under a certain filter there are facial images on it aswell. I cannot find anything on the web this clour only one that may have been similar but was clear glass and silver this beautiful decanter is golden looking in every way. I believe this to be a genuine item that im hoping you mat be able to at least shed some light or point me in the direction of being able to identify. it is absolutely gorgeous. at first I suspected that perhaps someone had tampered with it but now after studying it for hours on end I believe that it is just very old and perhaps an original.

while strolling past an old antique shop where a very elderly man was busy packing up his shop to move someone had dropped off this ewer prior to me arriving. i asked the old man if it was for sale as my moither loves amber glass and i intended it to be a gift for her but i fell in love with it immediately. the old man told me it was for sale and to get it out of there before his wife came back and saw it as she too loved amber glass. he was very elderly and was busy concentrating on moving his shop and i dont think he looked to closely at it thank goodness.
