Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful replica doll. Such replica dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis. Normally the price for replica dolls is fairly low however this is a very good replica of the high quality French Bru type doll. Your doll was made in the 1990s. It is of high quality with many details and there will be collectors for this type of doll.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online replica toys auction, where I believe the replica Bru doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
Thank you for your comment. It is a very good replica doll however it is from the last century - that is 1990s. The facial colour and the eyes are give-aways - the colour is very uniform which would not have been possible on an antique Bru doll. The body is made of papermache and composite and the hands and joints possibly made of wood.
Kind regards
Thank you for your information. Did you 1990 or 1890. I was hoping it was older that 1990. Is the head original and older than the body? Is the body composite or wood and ??? Thank you
