Hi Francis,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
C&A Kreimer was a cigar manufacturing company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The company was founded by Charles and Augustus Kreimer, who were brothers and entrepreneurs in the cigar industry. Cincinnati was a major hub for cigar manufacturing in the United States at the time, due to its access to skilled labor, transportation networks, and markets for high-quality cigars.
C&A Kreimer became well known for producing fine cigars, including hand-rolled varieties, catering to the growing demand for premium cigars among both local and national customers. Their products were often recognized for their quality and craftsmanship. The business flourished during a period when cigars were a popular luxury item, with Cincinnati hosting numerous cigar manufacturers. The company isn't known for making furniture but that's their label so unless it was attached after it was made, this may be a rare surviving example of a rocking smoking chair.
The market for rocking side chairs is modest at best - this has a fair-market value of $150-250.
