What does this mean?

This is an antique, late Victorian to Edwardian style quarter-sawn oak wood buffet server that dates to just about 1900 - 1910. Though it has the appearance of being hand carved and constructed this is a manufactured piece from that time. Many of these were even sold through Sears & Roebucks catalogs. It is a server buffet over 2 over 1 serpentine front drawers with two door cabinet at bottom. The open or blank space would have been for a beveled mirror backing to help reflect light. The estimate factors in the missing mirror and is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
