The copper plate engraving is approximately 33 x 24 cm and depicts Christ holding a child and others. It was purchased in Basel prior to 1900 by my Grandfather, Dr. Henry Werner of Basel.
It was purchased in Basel prior to 1900 by my grandparents, Dr. Henry W. Werner and Elsie Kracht Werner. It was brought to the US in 1912 by my Grandmother and has remained in the Werner family ever since.

This appears to be a late 19th century electroforming / Galvanoplastik copper relief depicting a religious scene, most likely referring to "Let the children come to me and do not hold them back, for men like them belong to God's heavenly kingdom." (Mt 19,14). Such relgious plaques were mass produced, the more luxurious were also silver plated. The unknown artist might have been inspired by a painting which he transformed into a three dimensional work of art. The estimate is based on similar sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
