Dear Heather,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and I wish you a Happy New Year 2021. My sincere apologies for the delay with the apprisal.
The presented object appears to be a collection of greeting cards, hand-colored prints with an allegory, ornithological, military, and old testament scenes, and embroideries. The handwritten part and the poem are in German languages which were used at the beginning of the 18th century in the kingdom of Denmark. After the scandal and execution of Johann Friedrich Struensee in 1772 the German language was not used officially in Denmark (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Friedrich_Struensee). It is more probable that these pieces come from one of the German-speaking areas under Danish rule or one of the German states. The handwriting and the other pieces date to the first third of the 19th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
