The picture is in an old wooden frame that measures 27inches high and 32 inches wide. It was a given to my aunt as a gift in 1920-1930 from a judge. There is also a picture behind this painting. It is a picture of a bridge. The frame is wooden and has very intricate carvings.
Inherited it from my Mom.
Dear Ruth,
Thank you for your request. The apprised object is a print after the draft by Walter Dendy SADLER (1854-1923) with the measurements of 27 x 32 inches. It depicts an elder couple sitting on a dining table. Behind them on the wall are two portraits of them when they were young. The motif is titled "Darby and Joan" which names the protagonist of this humoristic couple. This print was probably made in the late 19th century or later.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 30 to 60 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
