Painting is 4x4 on wood. Extremely colorful. Painted by a renowned Choctaw artist with work in Oklahoma Capital building and in DC. His name is DG Smalling. All of his work is one stroke of the pen. He never raises the pen until drawing is complete.
I won it and its IRS value is 5,000.00

Dear Mariam,
Thank you for your request. Sadly regarding technical problems, the new images and messages were not displayed. I apologize for the delay. The presented object is a painting made in acrylic paint on board with the measurements of 4 x 4 feet. It depicts as a colorful motif the head of a deer. This painting was made by the artist "DG Smalling". For an estimation, we have to differentiate the different markets of the art market. You as a private person have to use the secondary auction art market which is an open market. Contemporary art pieces are usually sold on the closed first market of the galleries. Galleries usually have very high asking prices which in many cases can be reached later on the open market. There were mostly works on paper on the market which is sold under 500 USD.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
A base auction estimation would be between 1000 to 2000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
