Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a Chinese drop front desk. With carvings along front and on drawers and most likely on the sides as well. The construction is very much british, the design is derived from earlier chinese carvings in relief. This crossover of western construction and eastern decorative elements is typical for furniture sold through Hong Kong during the first half of the 20th century. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
