What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an asian batik wall decoration, possibly from Sri Lanka. Batik technique decorated textiles can be found in India, Sri Lanka, Bali, Thailand, Indonesia and since the 1960s also in western culture. The mythical white elephant Airaavatha is according to Hindu beliefs the elephant who carries the Hindu god Indra. In Thailand the albino elephant is a lucky sign and a national symbol. Batik in general was very popular in the 1970s and a typical travel souvenir. Similar decorative wall decorations sell in the price range stated.
