White ladies heeled and button-up boot with decorative flowers. Dimensions 17cms high, 14cms long. No identity or markings
Passed down from my grandmother and mother to me.
This is a vintage decorative figurine in the form of a Victorian era, ladies high-button boot. It is made of molded bisque porcelain and hand formed and applied flowers with hand painting on the surface. Bisque is unglazed porcelain. Porcelain is a mix of kaolin and petuntse clays. Without a maker mark or stamp where this was made cannot be definitively stated. It was likely produced for Lefton China. Lefton China often used foil sticker labels on their wares which sometimes were removed. This form was also 'copied' and produced in Japan as export pieces. The estimate is based on actual past auction sales of comparables.
