What does this mean?

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is a nice pair of reverse-painted mercury glass and bronze lamps.
I can't tell from the photos how tall the lamps are but it looks as though the lamps to the bottom of the brass shade fittings / harp are about 15 inches tall and what I've based my valuation on. If the size is significantly larger or smaller than that please let me know and I'll see if I need to revise my valuation.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A pair of reverse-painted white and gilt mercury glass
Of knopped teardrop form, with brass harp fittings on top and bronze base supports, electrified.
Lamps appear to be approximately 15 inches high; overall height significantly higher
PROVENANCE: inherited
$250-350*
