As above in excellent condition
16" wide by 11" high
Hi Michael,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Pino Signoretto's figural sculptures - birds, fish, horses and the like - have been popular with collectors since the late 20th Century and there is a good body of his work from the time this goldfish sculpture was made that has appeared at auction. While birds and animals tend to bring higher prices, his fish sculptures that have been offered typically sell for between $500-2,500 (this may be priced HIGHER in a retail shop or by other sellers).
Given the size and early edition number of your goldfish, I would estimate it between $1,000-2,000.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage limited Murano hand-blown glass goldfish
made by Giuseppe "Pina" Signoretto, Murano, Venice, Italy, for Carolyn Canali, 1982
Edition 13 of 250
11" high, 16" wide
CONDITION: This sculpture appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE:
$1,000-2,000*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
