This is a unique piece of batik fabric with a label reading "BATIK" vertically and "ANEKA" horizontally around a central image of a stylized dark bird or creature on a red background. The design features intricate swirling patterns in warm brown, black, and white tones, along with stylized floral and possibly bird-like motifs. The level of detail and slight variations suggest it is a hand-drawn batik (Batik Tulis). I was told by the previous owner that this piece took a year to complete. The fabric feels like it could be cotton (though I am not certain). The condition appears to be excellent.
